Are New Yorkers very racist?

as humans we can harbor certain emotions toward a certain group when we have bad expeirence with that group. Howevere in NY u run into people from all over the world and all walks of life so you become more tolerant. NY'ers for the most part are liberal and open minded. If you live here u get it. I personally could not have imagined growing up anywhere else, especially as a dark Latino. I just get treated with more respect and acknowledged as a human being here and there's a certain comraderie amongst here.
