I can do my dream job! but i have to travel to London once a week from Devon...and i dont no wether i should!?

I live in Devon but i really want to do an apprenticeship in chartered surveying and i found a perfect college! however, its in london and i would have to go to college once a week, and that means travelling by train. My mum says that i cant do it, but that means travelling is stopping me from getting the career i really really want. I dont want to go to uni so is there any other way i can get the official RICS qualification??!! Please help!!
