My Devon rex cat is very aggressive what do i do?

my cat did that too,the way i got her to stop i let her know that i was the boss by picking her up and holding her and once she felt safe than she knew that she was safe in your house and arms she would become more lovable and caring,but he is only 6 months old, just give him time to get use to you.Good Luck!!!
