What's More Important In a Presidential Candidate-Courage to Take a Stand and Tell the Truth or Fundraising?

Politicians are masters at not giving a straight answer,they strongly stand for whatever only while they are campaigning and they will say what the people want to hear whether true or not.There is very little difference between dems or reps,and how can they raise such huge amounts of money without selling their souls to the devil (the corporations)?
