What to do in Henderson, NV?

My boyfriend and I live in Henderson, we're in our late 20's and early 30's and we're sick of our only options for entertainment being the movies, bingo, the community pool, the lake and downtown. We need ideas for new stuff to do that doesn't cost a killing and will get us out of the house this summer to have some fun. Does anyone know what there is to do in Henderson, NV? We'll take all ideas that don't include just another bar scene or going to downtown las vegas, especially the cheep or freebie ideas. Anyone got any suggestions?
