Is getting a job a good idea in 2011?

is it me or does it feel like the system went to crap opportunity is at a all time low? Are you looking forward to finding a job that will over work you and under pay you and then lay you off at any given time because of our leaders are so corrupt that the ponzi schemes are now also affecting the common man and a middle cl that vanished? Seriously though, what IS a dependable form of income in 2011 other than depending on a government that will bail out political crooks, leave the common man in the dust, and that can collapse or shut its doors at any time?
