Why do they sterotype jamaican men and woman so harshly!!?

Okay,i have a jamaican boyfriend and he's so sweet,nice,and caring.I've heard some mean sterotypes about Ja men and woman and so far any of them arent true about him!And they say taht the men are after and are lazy,he's not lazy at all he's very smart and he works very hard to do his best at everything he does and he knows im a virgin and respects that.why do people say these things about them when they probably have never even takled to one or dated one before?
